The Forum members are on the hunt for suitable locations to install leaky wooden structures on small streams and brooks at the top of the river catchment. This is a pilot project that aims to slow down the flow of water through the whole catchment by placing lots of small, natural obstacles in the water course that together, can have a big effect on the movement of water during periods of rainfall.

The Forum is taking a keen interest in the development of Welsh Government’s Sustainable Farming Scheme, in particular what its eventual rollout will mean for farmers and habitats within the Catchment. The Forum sees this as an excellent opportunity to deliver its vision in a way that helps farmers manage the land for generations to come.
